Empowering women and children in Ghana to break the cycle of poverty through education, healthcare, and sustainable opportunities.
To promote the rights of girls and young women through gender equality, equality education, good health and social protection. Preparing them for leadership and to discover their purpose early and live a life of impact.
To build a society where women enjoy their rights, live with dignity and are empowered as equal partners in development.
Veerises Foundation was born from a simple yet powerful observation: when women and children are given the right support, entire communities transform. Our founder, Dr. Sarah Johnson, witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of poverty on families during her years as a social worker in underserved communities in Ghana.
In 2015, with a small team of dedicated volunteers and a big vision, we launched our first education program in a rural community. What started as a single classroom with 20 women has grown into a comprehensive organization serving thousands across Ghana.
Today, we operate education centers, healthcare clinics, safe housing facilities, and vocational training programs. But our greatest achievement isn't measured in numbers—it's in the transformed lives, the children who now attend school, the mothers who've started businesses, and the families who've broken free from poverty.
Every day, we're inspired by the resilience and strength of the women and children we serve. Their stories fuel our commitment to creating lasting, meaningful change.
